The Newport Running Club organizes the annual
 Pie Run, held Thanksgiving morning, in Middletown, RI. This year's race will be on Thursday, November 22, 2012, starting promptly at 8:30 am. The 5 mile USATF sanctioned road race and 3 mile non-competitive walk starts and ends in front of the Newport County YMCA, 792 Valley Road, and is a scenic course with panoramic views of Sachuest Beach.Entrants are asked to bring one non-perishable food item to be contributed to a local food bank.
Long sleeve technical shirts are available for all preregistered participants whose registrations are received prior to November 8th, 2012.
Entry cost is $25, both pre and post registration.

On line registration closed Monday at 5 PM.
Post registration is at the Y, Wednesday 4 PM to 7 PM and day of race from 7:15 AM to 8:15 AM. Number Pickup and Post Registration is at the Newport County YMCA at the following dates / times:
Wednesday, November 21st, 4:00 - 7:00 pm
Thursday, November 22nd, 7:15 - 8:15 am
